We will be having a kids fishing tournament on Joe Pool Lake on May 12th. We will welcome donations/sponsorship for such items as fishing tackle, rods, reels,youth lifevests, gift certificates, cash for lunch items, etc.
Lets get our kids out of the house and spend some valuable time with them on beautiful Joe Pool Lake.

You might revise the rules to reflect the correct size limits. The rules state "14 inches or less and 21 inches or larger". I believe by State laws the slot limit is 14 - 21 inches. This would make a 14" or 21" fish not legal.

I double checked the TPWD website on the measurements here http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/limits_freshwater/exceptions.phtml#J

I trying to see if I can make it with my daughter, should be fun.

We are also trying to get at least 6 youth up to 18 years old to join our bass club http://www.fishingworld.com/DFWBassmasters/
and start a Junior Federation Club. Once we get a junior club formed we can send ages 11-18 to the State Junior FLW TBF tournament and try to qualify them through the State Tournament to fish the Nationals in Hot Springs, Ark where some FLW pro's will be their boater.
These youth fisher persons will also be allowed to fish our club tournaments for free and will be drawn out with a boater.
The Youth TBF membership fees will be $20 per year and they will not have to be FLW members.

The FLW TBF State Junior Tournament will be held on Joe Pool on June 2nd for ages 11-18. Let me know if you have kids that may want to fish this event whether you own a boat or not. We will have some volunteer boaters at the event.

May 12th- If you have boat and kids come on out and fish with us. If no boat show up anyway as there will be a carp kids fishing event being held at the South end of the park with bank fishing only.

Fished there this past Saturday and caught lots of sand bass and black bass.
14-21 slot on bass
10" minimum on sandies and crappie
5 fish total limit per person

they can be 14 inches just not a fraction bigger or right at 21 and not a fraction smaller but you can keep a 14 or 21 it is perfectly legal
