Have some time off Christmas week and looking for somewhere to haul the boat and catch some bass with my wife. Is Squaw creek worth the trip from West TX? Also if we fished Thursday & Friday how busy will the ramps be? Looks like Saturdays could be a mess that I would like to avoid. Thanks in advance.

Week days are the days to go. Not usually overcrowded at all, and they haven’t been heavily pressured for a few days.

If you want to catch 40-50 2-3 pounders Bass then squaw is the place... occasionally you’ll boat a 4-6 lbr... fun lake.

Thanks for the advice, will keep an eye on the weather and give it a shot if the rain they are forecasting holds off.
