Any good places to fish for bass in Abilene? I drove out to Lake Leon, looks pretty inviting.

I went to Phantom a few times and Kirby a few times. The best times ive had was the brazos at the dam at Possum Kingdom.
I have sold my kayaks but will be back in the game prob next year.

There are plenty of places to kayak bass fish around Abilene. I'll start with my favorites, Oak Creek, Trammel, Leon, Brownwood, Coleman, and if you go a little further you have the Concho river which winds through all of San Angelo (Pugh park in Christoval is my favorite place to launch in the Concho)

Don't forget about Cisco Lake... you drove right pass it to get to leon.... Cisco is kayak friendly most of the year. In the summer after lunch the jetski folks move a lot of water, but don't bother the yakers. LMB, White bass, and catfish are in the lake... Some large carp too.

good luck.
