spent night in Smithville,Tn jail back in late 50's....seems it was against the law back then to drink beer in a state park....was at end of the semester and was with a bunch of students from tenn tech.....we had built a campfire and were drinking and singing around the fire...somebody called the law and next thing we knew there were highway patrol and deputies coming from every direction and arresting people........

Arrested? Twice.
But not jailed or convicted on either count. 1st one was a DWI in college. Had refused to blow so was arrested and taken to jail. Once there, they gave me "one more chance" to take the breathlizer and simply ticket me rather than spending the night in jail. Luckily I blew a .08. At the time that was legal and they had to retrieve my car from impound and release me. Stupid lucky... but learned my lesson on drinking and driving.
2nd time was doing a work buddy a favor and stopped at his house to grab some fishing gear for him. (He was meeting me at the lake a few hours later). He gave me a key to his garage BUT NOT THE ALARM CODE. I threw all his fishing gear in my truck and was pulling out of the driveway when the cops blocked my exit. Dipstick had run out of battery on his cell and didn't bother to recharge it until I was an hour late meeting him at the lake. When he finally showed up at the jail to spring me I was so mad I wanted to kick his rear on the spot. Needless to say that was my last fishing trip with him. What??,...................unreal!, there is a guy over on the THF that had the same thing happen !! I had the Plano police put us in cuffs "for our protection" and set us on the curb, when we set the alarm off on a house we were remodeling. The lady left to go play tennis and accidentally set the alarm. I guess all our tools and work going on in the house wasn't enough to convince him.

Up against the wall...spreadem....and fondled.
What scared me the most was hearing the pump-action on that shotgun as I came out the door.
Wasn't handcuffed, preacher got there just in time.

Kind of for me, cuffed for breaking out windows in an abandon house and a PI. Each time the officier took me to my dad who was a station sergeant the Houston Police Dept. Met the business end of a belt instead of a cell.

I should have a few times when I was a teen, but never did. Pretty much explains my situation. Grew up in a small town. Parents and grandparents were friends with Chief of police. We had two night watchman that got outrun by my '70 Chevelle a couple times when I was in High School. When I went to city hall... my grandfather was taking shots with the chief at 2:00 AM. They said "go home". I said "Yes sir" and did.

5 times before I turned 18, so those don't count. Mostly for fighting - I was small, but a 2 time FW Golden Gloves Champ and never backed down from a fight, we had a club back then, to be a member of the club you had to knock someone out in one punch. I finally got tired of looking over my shoulder, and my dad kicking my [censored] after bailing me out of jail, heck I was shot at two times and once had a knife pulled on me, I don't know how I made it out of Haltom City alive. My friends would send me in to start the fight. One time the Keller Police dept hauled 19 of us to jail, we were all in a Good Time Van looking for a group of guys from Keller who wanted to fight, we found a party in Keller sorry for them it was the wrong bunch. Made it one block away and Keller PD pulled us over. They made us line up all they way around the van. They ran out of hand cuffs and started using zip ties on us.
I was terrible, could have gone to jail so many more times.
Was arrested once since then, DUI - fought it and got it reduced to obstruction of a highway.
