Still have a net to fabricate for flying fish. cast net is ready for some piggy perchin'. got snoopy poles for bait fishing. gotta get my live bucket for the "scallops"/sand crabs..... LOL!!

When are ya'll going to get into Freeport? We'll be there early afternoon and will meet up and do our best piggy patrol but we are completely new to the area. I've never been to Freeport so I don't have any ideal where to go. We'll need some help and some phone numbers to get in touch with everyone while were're down there.

Are we still doing a pre-trip dinner?

There are plenty of Piggies right there at the boat dock at Elliots. We were using hot dog as bait and one of the guys that worked there gave us a couple squid to use as bait. You could catch a bunch on one piece. A cast net would really clean up. Especially when the boats are coming in and they are cleaning fish. They throw the scraps right there in the water. We caught redfish, some type of snapper or something and a bunch of piggies the evening before. We put them in a fish basket and hung them off the dock right at dark and the basket was still there the next day. They got the bait tanks up and running and we dumped the basket in. We had about 50 in and hour or two. The was a guy with a cast net there and he was getting 10 per cast. That is the way to go if you have a net and can cast it good. TxGrizzly and I are leaving early Thur morning and I think quite a few are also from the Dallas area.

early thurs morning..... going to pickup Bad Santa(Bazztex) then heading down yonder ways... lol. I can cast the net pretty good- I will just need someone to ID the fish I catch so I aint puttin gamefish in the basket.... I still think we will do the ritual pre-fishing dinner... I dont know where it will be, so someone who is familiar with the area( I figure we will have 20 people for dinner)

AFter dinner I say we get the toilet paper and go show McGolfer what "TP'ing" a house is all about.. LOL!!

McG has never TP'd a house? wow....i will also try to remember to bring my net...

lol!! They all know I am full of sheit... LOL!! Them old pharts are the reason I keep coming back- the knowledge is priceless. Bazztex, Snagged, TxSeaDog, McGolfer, TJ and a few others keep me in line...I am more than happy to offer them a heaping plate of Freeport scallops... LOL!! Just be sure and tear the pinchers off before you eat em.... hehhehe

HEY NOW!!! no more of the devil "scope" patch!! Gonna do Bonine just for the insurance....i am 99% sure its a placebo effect on me...but- for th trips sake its gonna be Bonine. Dramamine makes me drowsy, and I dont like feeling drunk.
