Well dad wants a new trolling motor for our champion for his Christmas. The boat is a 223 elite soooo the question is which model of minn Kota is the best for the money with I pilot. And what size do y’all suggest, currently it’s an old 73lb motorguide.

The champs need the 52” shaft for sure, just installed the 112lb 52” Ultrex on my 203 and it is golden. I mean if y’all are rocking the 22’ boat I would definitely say get the 112.

Champs sit up kinda high and catch a lot of wind. Get the biggest TM you can afford. You can always dial it back.

I’ve got a 112# Ultrex on my 19’ Nitro and I’m glad I have it. 52” shaft would have come in handy at times in high wind. Also, I have i-pilot but not link. Didn’t feel the need for the additional HB equipment. Still don’t feel any different since I’ve had the Ultrex.
If you can't find em wind em.

I installed the 36 volt Ultrex on my Phoenix Friday. Heading to the lake soon to try it. I got the 52” shaft.
