Me: I'm going to ________ see ya later Her: Before you go can you please (insert household task that will take way longer than you have before you need to be gone) real quick.
Saying "real quick" does not magically shorten the amount of time that task will take.

I stopped listening after you said "I was thinking "
That's after letting her ramble on for a minute or two.

Mine usually doesn't like it when I accidentally call her by my ex's name.

Why can't you be ready to leave on time? You're beginning to sound like your mom.

You brought me a beer and didn't open it! Oh Tneel, that one might get you kilt. If you are too lazy to pop the top on your own beer, you DON'T NEED a beer, lolz. Now I did ask hubby to wipe my nose for me. I was knee-deep in making some Thanksgiving side dishes and my nose started pouring and I asked him to wipe it for me (he was right there) because I could not get to it and he did. My allergies have been the pits for the last month or so and all of a sudden it will start pouring clear liquid like a snotty nosed kid. Hey, I bought him two more collectible reels last night on ebay so he is a happy camper.

I can make assumptions about your character based on the plethora of ridiculous decisions you've posted about making, but I choose not to.

Telling a woman to calm down works about as well as Baptizing a cat!

Referring to her as the "Ol' Lady" Asking if we can give the stove to one of the kids since we no longer use it. "You missed a spot" Damn Honey can't that wait till halftime ? Surely you don't expect me to go ? Mines four years older than me. I call her my ole lady all the time.

Telling a woman to calm down works about as well as Baptizing a cat! This is the truest statement in this thread. Learned that on Saturday with my neice. It was her wedding day. She was in full blown bridezilla mode. I'm pretty much her father figure. Her dad died when she was in middle school. She didn't want to talk to her momma or my other sister there. They kind of caused her breakdown. She wanted to talk to me and only me. And like an idiot I said to calm down. Oops. I did smooth it over though.
