When it's warm mostly something with some "kick" to it, when it's colder something with a little more bulk and more of a "dead" action...

Twin tail grub is my go to winter trailer if not using pork, works great on a finesse style jig.

I like to rotate between a Menace Grub, a Zoom Swimming Chunk, and half of a Baby Brush Hog. I prefer trailers with a swimming action and less bulk so I can wind or drag the jig.

Green pumpkin speed craw or super speed craw most of the time, I change it up to a menace grub or Zoom Z-craw jr. or rage craw. Usually match the jig.

Cabin Creek Bait Company's 3.5" Express Craw. They float and have good action like a rage craw. They work really well.

What are your favorite jig trailers for winter, spring and summer. Include favorite colors as brand also if you would. Thanks Also you usually match the trailer to the jig or use contrasting colors? I rarely ever match anymore. Sometimes I will stick in the same color family, but even then I will go with a watermelon trailer with green pumkinish jig. I will often times complement the jig with the trailer or vice versa. For example a neutral green pumpkin jig I will use a trailer with purple and green fleck to give it the bluegill color. The opposite would be a Watermelon Candy Jig with a flat Green Pumpkin trailer. Some of my favorites are a black and blue jig with a green pumpkin trailer or a Black/Brown/Amber jig with a purple trailer or Green pumpkin trailer. I rarely match my skirt with my trailer, but that's just my personal taste to make it a bit different than what they see everyday. In a nutshell if it's a busy jig I tone it down with a neutral trailer. If it's a solid or neutral jig I will spice it up with a busy trailer. As to what trailers I use, well....... I'm a bit secretive on those
