Like some advice on Crappie hook size for live bait minnows. I use 1 and 1/0 Curious what works best for others. I prefer jigs but at times live bait works better for me. Thanks for any input.

I use a Eagle Claw true turn #2 you can get from Walmart. When I need alot of action I use a Owner mosquito hook in a number #6. It is a very very light hook.

I use #6 and #4 red light wire Aberdeens. The jigs I use either have #4 or 6 so I figure with minners I should do likewise. Really surprised anyone is using anything bigger than #2. Not trying to hijack thread but for those of you using bigger hooks, what size minnows are you using? I always buy mediums, and sometimes I use a minnow trap and get some the bait shops would classify as large but the mediums work better for me.
