Well my Waco ride did not go well. Got back spasms on the way down and they got worse all night long and still today. Very disappointed. Sucked sitting in the hotel room most of the time. Wife did 69 mles at 16.7 pace and it was very hilly. No way I could have kept up with that.
My spasms seem to be from over a week ago when trying clipless pedals in the street. Went down with thigh hitting the curb followed by shoulder in the grass.
Rode with a group on Wednesday at a 15.6 pace and afterwards had small spasms but I thought I was going to be OK

Clip in pedal falling will happen, shake it off. Bet ya bruised hip or knocked back out of alignment. Usually it jut hurts the ego. LOL!
Typically back and neck problems work their way out on a ride....at least it does for me. BUT yesterday after my 40 miles, I was sore necked. Nap helped fix that! LOL!

It did me in. The car ride to Waco mess up my back and I had severe back spams from Friday afternoon until last night. Was planning on 69 on Sat and 40 on Sunday. Neither happened. Very disappointing. All related to the fall. Not sure why it started bothering me 10 days later. Had rode 120 miles since the fall.

Man, could be something from how you're sleeping, or maybe it's just taken a while for it to rear it's head. I've fallen into a curb once, but landed on my arm. The other times I've fallen, it's pretty instant pain, but never lasted more than a few days, just the "road rash" takes a while. We've been getting a ton of overnight rain the past few weeks, and I sliced one of my fingers really really good last week, so I'm way behind on my little goal. Only got 40 miles in last week, and didn't go this morning, so it's got me 79 miles behind where I need be today... Looks like a century ride ontop of a 100 mile week is coming up.

I have always known my body pretty well. I sleep light and restless for years, side to back to other side and I don't think that the issue.
As this is settling down it is the right shoulder blade are that is still hurting. That was the 2nd part of the fall. 58 years old and I know my upper core is not what it used to be.
Good luck with your catching up.

I don't ride my street bike anywhere near 100 miles, but I have been riding it more lately.
I just needed to do some adjustment to the handlebars level, and put some new tape on them.
Heck,it feels like a new'ish bike!

Way to go! I'm slacking bad, was going to go this morning, but went back to bed. I picked up a sweet new pair of shoes at like 60% off this weekend, really wanted to give them a try more than just around the block.

Got in 101 miles over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful weekend for it! Work off that Dressing, Rolls and Pie! I finally found an hour to get in 20 miles Sunday....my life is just too busy right now. Running just takes less time and preparation. Running the bare minimum right now.

Im old(er). I just started riding. I have one of those hybrid bikes of pretty good quality. I ride a trail, which is about 8.5 miles Ive managed to rise the whole thing but I am slow. Experienced riders pass me like Im walking. I hope to build up my speed now. I just cant see myself on a road bike I am to afraid of texters.

I bought a Hybrid in June. 1K miles on it so far. 58 years old. 1/3 trails, the rest on the streets. My wife has more experience and worked with me or I would not be close to where I am now. We ride in a club. Safety and knowledge in numbers. We ride in your area at times. If you want to know the club we are in let me know.
