 Miter saw Blade help...

The 12" compound sliding miter saw I want to get has NO blade. For general use around the house I need some help on what blade to get. I noticed some finishing blades with 60T, 80T, and 96 Teeth. Any ideas here?

80T is a good general purpose blade for a 12" miter saw.
For a sliding saw, you need one with a zero or negative kerf angle. Any radial arm saw blade should do.
You absolutely get what you pay for with blades. The cheap Dewalt models at Lowes are exactly that - cheap. If you're cutting boards for stuff where finish doesn't matter, then use whatever. If you need a nice cut, get something like a Forrest.

For 2x4s and such then the lesser tooth blades will work fine and they are cheaper. The more teeth the blade has, the smoother the cut and generally a higher price too.

Depends on what you're cutting . More "teeth" = a smoother cut .

Make sure to buy a carbide tooth blade, It will cut faster and smoother, and stay sharp longer.
