I've never been married, but you compromise and be cordial at the dinner.
She will also smile on the few occasions that you have over a buddy or two that she doesn't like.

I have a couple legitimate questions. Can we hear the back story why you don't like them? And is her friend hot? My wife is way hotter. She just wants to gossip, the guy is a bump on the log and doesn't talk. Because he probably doesnt want to be their either. Your wife should have just met her friend for coffee and they could yakka yakka the night away
