We are leaving out around 6:00, should be launching at Waxahachie around 6:30. The plan is to find some shad and drift for a while. If that doesnt work, anchor up on the places that the wind was hitting today. If that fails, then I might just drift some Crappie jigs. I have a full tank of fresh gas, batteries are charged and we have food in the cooler. My only fear is my batteries not staying charged. I didnt take care of them during the last year. They might just not hold a charge.

Thanks! It has been a lot of work. There is still lots more to do, but she is ready to hit the lake. I tried to find a new trim tab today but will have to go without it for a few days. Got the new water pump in yesterday and ran it in the drive way today. It still didnt seem to pump wate r like it should. I pulled off the water strainer and found lots of garbage in it, including the fingers from the old water pump. Its much better now. I expect a few hiccups tomorrow, but the act of getting in the water has me all giddy.

Im truly happy for you. But, dont say youre giddy. Men dont get giddy. Men named Shark dont even get excited. They chew through docklines instead of untying them. They dont even need a wrench to remove spark plugs. They kill things with their bare hands. They dont get giddy.

Have a frilly time.

You are right. I got ahead of myself. The Dilly Dilly thread threw me off. I just packed my coat and my copilots coat in the truck. Gloves, hats, other cold weather gear. I need some wate still but will get that on the way in. We have drift socks, anchors, new rope, everything you could possibly need for a full day on the water. I just left myself a note to unplug the charger so I dont drag it down the street behind the boat on the way to the lake. The trailer hasnt been registered since 2015 so hopefully that doesnt become an issue.

Edit...Fing...I am hampered with the ability to respond as required right now, so we can do this here. I am told that once a boat is christened you should not do it again. I might go throw a beer at the bow just to make sure though.

Edit2....2Bees.....my pisser is fine. When I dropped the screen off, I found most of the pieces down there. Once I cleaned that out, it did its thing. It does concern me that some rubber may be in the power head though. I have a modified p-hole that makes for easy clean out, its a 1/4 inch hose coming straight out of the cowling so the boat looks jet propelled. Its very dramatic.

Edit 3....Frank...my day went well. I cant wait to go fishing tomorrow though.

Take a paper clip incase your pisser gets clogged with that old waterpump junk.
