Can you believe that some cultures actually PAY to have dyed scales surgically implanted into these fish to make patterns on their sides?!?! Oh well...they put up a heck of a fight! Congrats!

Yep; I prepare them the same way I do rats, slugs, termites, worms, and centipedes.

Actually, a more polite answer (blush) is that they can be eaten, but unless they come from clean waters and are prepared correctly, they probably won't taste very good. Carp are very bony, and the meat is said to be strong and muddy-tasting. I have never eaten one; I (and my girls) enjoy catching them for fun, then returning them to the water for another day.
