My favorite state to visit, some parts have the type beauty that words don't do it justice! Love the Oak Creek area, south of Flag. Monument Valley, the sacred Land of the Navajo, The White Mountains of NE Arizona, the Black River, Salt River Canyon, Prescott, The Red Rock country of Sedona. The list goes on! The variety of fish, from trout and cold water fish in the mountains to the warm water varieties, bass crappie, catfish, sunfish, etc, in the desert lakes and rivers. It's got it all. Nothing like sitting on the edge of a cienega in the White Mountains and watching a herd of Elk materialize out of the forest close to sunset! That should be on everyone's bucket list.

Enjoy the Grand Canyon state!

if someone wants to visit az, i would certainly recommend they visit:
canyon de chelly (hike down to ruins)
lake powell and slot canyons
monument valley (drive down into the valley! had a student in phx whose grandma lived in MV!)
gr can (duh. but if you drive up from flag i would make my way to the east entrance...very scenic!)
wupatki and wukoki ruins just north of flag.
