Looking at 2013 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500HD LTZ w/ DURAMAX 6.6L TURBO DIESEL V8 B20-DIESEL and a 2015 GMC SIERRA 2500HD 4WD / HD / TOW PACKAGE. The turbo diesel only has 500lb more of GVWR at 10,000 vs 9,500 on the 6.0.
Does that sound right?

A diesel just gives you more power not cargo capacity on similarly equipped trucks

A diesel just gives you more power not cargo capacity on similarly equipped trucks I think diesels weigh more so you might even have less cargo capacity

By 300-500lbs. Aluminum block and heads diesel vs cast iron block and aluminum heads gasser. And they arent much different in displacement; 6.6 liters vs 6 liters.

Where are you finding an aluminum block and head diesel? Hell, a 5.9 Cummins only weighs in 150lbs more than an iron head BBC.
