Pool has really been off the last couple of weeks for me and instead of enduring it again tomorrow, I am thinking of going to Grapevine. I've been there once and did ok. How has it been lately? What is the water level like? I think that I put in at Dove Loop and it waa a long shallow ramp. Is it still usable now?

Yes it's useable but you will get your feet wet, Katie's Woods is a little steeper. The bite Saturday was awesome Sunday not so much. Was like night and day, fish completely changed Sunday. Ended up going up Denton creek and fishing the log jams Sunday to catch em.

How far do you have to go to reach the "logjams"?

They start fairly close to the mouth, then there are several all the way back to the Marshall Creek Park boat ramp.

Thanks for the info. By the time I headed out traffic was too bad so I headed the other direction back to Pool. I'll head there next week.
