This a 45 on my caracal. You can see it doesnt take a whole lot to break the surface. Ordering a ultrex soon and will be getting the 52.

Glad I went ahead and decided on the 52 then cause thats not very rough.

I have a 2018 Caracal and went with the 52. Right now, I have it raised up about 8". I would go 52.

I have the 52" shaft Ultrex on my Erya and it does a great job.

not sure on a caracal but i had a 52 fortrex on a puma and it blocked the rod locker when stowed. not sure of your layout but its something to consider.

I have a 45inch Ultrex on my 2017 Caracal sits great and works fine. The boat cover fits like a glove over it I have the 45 as well but I think it is more like 48, not a single issue with it, I could not put my cover on if I had the 52, it is touch and go with the 45.
