Got a pair of Levi's Denizen khakis a few months back and they are comfortable. My wife decided to get me some stretchy blue jeans, and at first I figured I would hate them. I must admit, they are great. I am gonna end up switching out all my jeans for these if they will last very long. These are 90%cotton and spandex. I can actually breath again.
Hubby has worn Wrangler stretch jeans for over 20 years. They do not dig into his belly especially when he was still installing carpet. They also seem to last longer than the 100% cotton jeans. I love them because you can take them out of the dryer and no ironing is needed.

I prefer 98% cotton 2% spandex - just a little room for the boys.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Try the Duluth Flex Firehose pants. Great pair of khakis that are durable and extremely comfortable with ballroom gusset. They also have Duluth flex jeans. They aren't as stretchy as the firehose because of the reinforced waistband, but still really nice.

Trust your own instinct. Your mistakes might as well be your own, instead of someone elses.

Stretchy clothes in general, especially for men, have increased. You can tell with sports commentators who wear suits too small for them, thus allowing their muscles to show through.
It's actually a cool thing to have clothes that "give," but being in shape, slim and trim, sure helps.
Addendum: Go to the "fitness section," join the "team" and get that body in shape. There are some cool dudes up there as well, and, umm, IN65 hangs there as well! Doh!

I made the move to the hybrid jeans and haven't looked back. I love 'em.

Wrangler Retro is using it in some models. I don't like it....jeans fit then hours later they are falling off and too big. I now stretch them to verify its not stretchy material added.
