Invest in the underlying technology if you can...not the currencies themselves.

In 2011 Bit coins were 4 cents, If you bought 100 dollars worth and kept them they would be worth 22-23 million dollars today. My stepson has 106 of them.(I know they aren't tangible). He still buys them every payday.

I don't really understand how that whole system works. It's fake money that came from thin air. I don't understand how you can trade real money for fake money

That article seems to suggest it's an untraceable currency that is a favorite of those buying drugs online. That's enough of a reason for me to stay away from it.

It is definitely a currency that criminals have come to love. That was one of the big deals with letting it be "viable" in the US. I researched it back when it was really low. It had just taken a big hit and everybody said it would drop more or get pounded with regs and basically shut it down. Looking back it's because those articles probably had an agenda but oh well.

Last month when My stepson was here(he lives in UAE) he had a visa or MasterCard (I forget which) that was connected to his bitcoin account, while here he used it just like a regular debit card. He said they charge him 2% for transactions.@ 5900$ per bitcoin and 106 bitcoins he has well over 1/2 million in that account.
