Asking for assistance meaning names of organizations and numbers...

An acquaintance of Kim's, not really a friend, but an older lady she knows, needs help. In a nutshell...

She knows very few people, therefore, she has called Kim for help.

She is getting evicted from her apartment.
She has two cats.
She is in her upper 50s.
She has no contact with her 90 something Dad due to a fight, and she has no siblings.
She apparently has no friends to speak of, and no men friends.
* She is a step away from being a "hoarder."

I believe she said she found a new place and can move in Saturday.

Who can this woman call, or Kim call for that matter, who will come in and help her "purge" stuff and then physically move her?
I'm asking for "organizations and phone numbers" because that's what she needs, not just a man with a truck.

any women shelters that you could contact? they may have contacts

Googling 'hoarder cleanup Dallas' pulled up numerous organizations/ companies. I'd start there.

Is she disabled? Does she have a job?

The property owner will put her stuff on the curb for her if she is being evicted.

I do not believe she works, she is not very mobile, and I believe she is trying to reason with the complex, hoping they will give her time.

Clearly she has burned some bridges, but I do not know her other than what Kim mentions.

I will pass on what I have. The term "hoarder" is what Kim and I have used after seeing some apartment photos. I'd bet she wouldn't call herself a hoarder, but she's pretty close to fittin' the bill.

I'd try and find a way to look her stuff over first. She might have something valuable you could con her out of.

I thought for a second of asking the forum who is free this weekend, who has trucks and who would be wiling to form a group of helpers, but I let that go after 2 seconds.

Indian nation, I'm telling you from experience there is a reason she has no friends and family. The best thing you could do is report the situation to adult protective services then bow out. They will guide her into the services she needs which will probably be mental health related.
