We just got home 1 week of wind rain and muddy water reds came on Gulp, specks came on johnson spoons and small swim baits. We had good luck the 3 nites that the wind didnt blow, the house we stayed in had a pier you could turn on the lights and then from 9 til you were wore out. We would keep 16 to 20 in 5ea. Lot of fun. Catch all reds from channel close to jettys mostly rats a 25 and a 26 in were the best. I had a huge sting ray almost spool me got him in after 15 min of him whipping my butt

Power Fisherman: That dingey looks like a pretty cool "fishing machine".

Finally got out after lunch today wind laid down just enough to get to the east cut. We gad no keepers on our boat but a few of our group caught a few keeper trout around the sunken barge.

mrglaspy - can you launch that dingey of yours anywhere you want, ... or shall we say anywhere you can dive up close to the water ?

fished a cut south of the islands along the jetties yesterday and put 5 reds 23-27in the boat. Trout were hard to find. Today we drifted the weather station and the sunken barge but only caught a few undersized trout. Went to the jetties and and caught 2 bull reds and a jack Crevalle. Had three break offs it was an epic trip. Jack Crevalle was 42 inches the reds were 38 & 40 nite was slow but stuck it out and had a great time. TAILS UP!!!

If you head out and dont think you have tackle heavy enough for bull reds. I caught a 40 19 pound red on trilene big game 12 pound test. 30 minutes to get him to the boat but worth the wait!!
