I just bought a new fish finder and it was working fine at first but now when we push the throttle up to change location the fish finder resets over and over again until we idle the boat out and sometimes we even have to kill it completely. Is the transducer to close to the engine or what is the cause for this behavior? we put it in the axact place the instructions told me. its like the vibrations are messing it up. It sucks big monkey butt! lol. any help would be nice. thanks

The transducer cable may be to close to an ignition wire on the motor. The transducer may be going out, or there may even be a loose connection some where. I would say start moving the cables around checking for loose connections and making sure they aren't close to ignition wires.
