All I can say is Ooo-oo-WEEE!! The crappie have fattened up for the fall and they are thick and plump. Here's a fishing video my wife and I did on our little fishing adventure October 1 of this year. I made a wise crack after I caught my first fish about being use to seeing 13, 14, and 15" crappie. Well little did I know, that joke almost became a reality on that day. We started the day fishing from the bottom up and it worked really well, but later in the day, we had to switch our technique. They decided they wanted to bite on the fall, but it had to be a very slow fall. Finicky lil critters. They were caught in as shallow as 5' out to 27 FOW. The catch ratio was about 5 dinks to 1 keeper. 22 found their way home with us. https://youtu.be/zRvyO-uYQtQ

Brotha you think that's finicky? The other day I was out there and threw all kinds of different colors at them and all I would get was the occasional dink. The big ones were there just putting their noses up even to live minnows. It wasn't till I switched to dead minnows that I started catching big crappie!!..crazy fishies!!!!..video of that coming soon...LOL!!!! Great job guys!!!..Y'all pulled out some monsters!!!!

Well SK, it worked real good for us for the first half, but then they changed on us and we had to use your technique. They would only hit on the fall, but it had to be a really slow fall just above or just into the brush pile. And yes, I did hook into a huge cat that had me busy for about 15- 20 minutes. I finally broke him off cause there was no way I was getting him out of that pile. Plus there were some crappie that needed catch'n.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
