I remember one of these tournaments being on Fork awhile back. Does anyone have any information if one is being planned again? If not can someone educate me on the format that was used so I can toss the idea around with a few friends. Thanks

2 man teams. paid a couple spots for the golf, the fishing and then overall. based on where team finished in each event you were awarded points. add the points for overall with lowest point total winning. 3rd place in golf and 4th place in fishing would give you 7 points for overall.

I've been doing one of these for a couple years with friends, we do an overall winner determined by combined team score. It's been an absolute blast, we have one coming up in 2 weeks with golf on Bear Creek and fishing on Grapevine. We'll move it back to Fork next year though, The Links at Lands End is a phenomenal course and the slot fits our scoring format. There are really bad golfers that are good fisherman and really good golfers that are bad fisherman, so we have a good balance in both events.

My partner and I put it on a few years ago on fork. The team with the worst score on the golf course won the tournament. Lol They got on some good fish and put it on everyone!

WattoFish, we've considered making this a public event but haven't gotten there yet. As of right now its a private event and we have all the spots filled. Should something change and a spot become available I'll shoot you a PM.

Came down from Kansas to fish in one a few years ago. Maybe the one Beast put on. Had a blast. Would make the trip again for one.
