What would you say are the "5" must have rods for any bass fisherman, beginner to pro? And what i mean by this is the length and action and what its used for.

Beginner to Novice? One rod. I recommend a St. Croix, med-heavy action, 7'6".

Here are my choices: 1) 74-76 Heavy action- used for flipping heavy cover, grass, and c-rig 2) 7-73- MH- jigs, t-rig, 3) 610-7- MH- light t-rig, senko, fluke, heavier spinnerbaits 4) 7-73- M- Moving baits, spinnerbaits, chatterbait, squarebill, trap 5) 66-7- M- topwater, shakeyhead, wacky rig, weightless
Preferences are individual. I dont like a long rod over 76. Only have 2, c-rig and a crankbait rod(which I dont throw enough of).

Get five Dobyns 734's. They are as universal a weight/length rod there is. Will fish any bait very well.....almost:-). Huge swimbaits or tiny dropshots not so much.
