I think we have 2 or 3 of the Vizio 5.7s or what ever they are. They are good for the money. Walmart, sams Best Buy etc.

I have 2 of the cheapo 2.1 Vizio sound bars. One in the living room and one in the garage. I have a nice receiver, SVS speakers, and dual SVS subs in the theater room and I haven't used it once in the past year. The Vizio is cheap, sounds a million times better than the stock TV speakers, and did I mention its cheap? My brother has a nicer Samsung sound bar but its not noticeably better than the Vizio and cost 2x as much. The sub is wireless (still needs power source) which makes it super easy to place in the room.

Don't get me wrong--there is no substitute for a well thought out receiver system, but soundbars make life so much easier.

I bought a Polk soundbar, we like it alot.

I got an LG had sound bar and a wooofer for about $157

I just got a little 149 samsung bar and woofer. It just makes your TV sound like it should, but it's no replacement for my complete 5.1 theater system. My neighbors have a SONOS bar, two other wireless speakers and the SONOS sub and it's so loud you can hear it in my house. I'm kinda jealous.

You would definitely cave.

Klipsch makes 3 that I really like. Think of of them like this...
