As noted above, the plan is to have VOD shows in 2018, so it won't be gone completely. We will also likely bring back selection of individual episodes for purchase in 2018 and we will over time, create a package of shows from the 2014 and 2015 seasons as well. It will depend entirely on workload for Dirk.

Mark Jones,
Why take the videos off YouTube? Aren't they hosted for free and might generate some small revenue? And you can add your own banner ad to promote the VOD...

Moving the HH program and archives to paid only. Old archived episodes have past sponsors etc. Secondly, there's only a small amount of YT revenue and not worth the time to manage that platform.

Yes, past sponsors that made those shows possible. Also could be edited out, although I understand not wanting to do that since it would take time/money. Are they conflicting sponsors to your partners today? Just seems somewhat pointless to take them off YouTube where they could literally live and be watched forever. And I am not sure what time goes into managing YouTube once a video is uploaded.

I've always enjoyed watching HH but the VOD is not one of my favorites. I can tell when a VOD has been watched here on metroplex lakes because you can take a number and watch the boats locating the fishing holes mentioned on the show. Just seem to make more community holes. Still best of luck to the entire crew. Just my two cents.

Not enough revenue based on views.

And I am not sure what time goes into managing YouTube once a video is uploaded. It's both the workload to remove them and then no motivation for someone to purchase them on VOD if they're up on YT. Essentially 2018 VOD will not have paid sponsorship so the only revenue will be VOD based.
