Is it just me, but I noticed at weigh in this weekend, a lot of the reported fish were taken deep, they were the greenest bass with the whitest bellies? Looking at ours taken in shallow, our fish had yellow green brown look, but man those deep fish brought in were glowing green and white.
Is it my eyes playing with me or is this correct?
I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP

Depends on water clarity. Many time deep fish are more pale due to lack of light penetration. Shallow fish that get more sun get a "tan". In the spring it's easy to tell when a batch of new fish move up from out deep due time their pale color.
