Heading down to Port O Connor 10/9 & 10/10. Can anyone point me In the right direction to start fishing haven’t been down in a few months. I will be fishing from boat. I am taking out my girlfriend and her daughter who have never fished before. I want them to have a good first time out. Any information would be appreciated
Thank you, JJ Maldonado

Oyster beds are on fire. The surf is also good right now with high numbers of trout and bull reds starting to cruise. chasing birds never hurts during the fall

Texas9 is right, but i would stay away from the surf right now. the swells are still huge from hurricane Nate. oyster beds are really good, as well as up and down the intracoastal from POC down towards Charlie's, just look for the pelicans and bait jumping. The Lagoon and Shoalwater also have lots of trout and reds in them. Good luck and be safe.
