What's ya'll favorite lure type and brand and color for trolling stripers and hybrid bass?

Capt macks type umbrella rig. 3/8 oz white ball jigheads and chartreuse or white curly tail grub.

caught a jillion fish back in the day on a hellbender and petspoon clone.

Pet spoons! I'm experimenting with sizes, I typically have a #12 or 13 tied on a double up rig for catching white bass and have caught tons of hybrids on them too. I just ordered #15 pet spoons (3.25 inches long) for specifically targeting hybrids. Curious if the whites will bite it though....I don't love hybrids so much that I will turn my nose at whites and kinda trying to find the best all around size lol

I use a 3 station one with a Pet spoon on one spot and various 3 to 4 inch
curly tails on the others.

Deep diving H2O white crank bait from Academy on Lake Palestine is the best I have found.

The tawakoni whites will eat # 15's

Umbrella rigs are hard to beat if you can afford to lose them every now and then. If not, the bomber fat free shad works very well. ( live shad works far better...)

Thanks Michael! Of course Tawakoni's three pound whites probably will eat anything lol! I'm planning on hitting up Fort Phantom tomorrow morning and excited to experiment with it my double up rig paired with #15s compared to the #12's. I'm wondering if I step up to like a #17 if I could attract the hybrids I find in deeper water because the ones in 14-18 foot will eat the #12's wonderfully but can't get the fish on the deeper side of the points and humps to respond positively to the #12s....which has kicked off this experiment.

I'm wanting to go fishing with you at Tawakoni soon and may try to see what all I have going on this winter! And I and everyone else are still waiting on part 2 of your youtube famous sonar video! lol

Tested out the #12 vs the #15 pet spoons and got to say, I'm buying more #15's and other sizes cuz they outperformed the #12's probably by 70% yesterday at Fort Phantom. Caught few more whites on the #12's but caught several on the #15s also along with way more hybrids on them. I don't think we caught but maybe one hybrid on the #12's but several on the #15's

Hellbender (without hooks and add a 1/2 once egg sinker to front hook spot) with #2 petspoon trailing. I see guys here saying #12 and even #15. Will have to try that out.

I love the DD22 series and the clown has been discontinued. We sometimes troll a hellbender with hooks and a jig trailer.
