I think there's a Gibson's still open somewhere between here and Colorado Springs .

Bought all my hunting and fishing stuff at Gibsons when I was a teen.

Western Auto in Whitney

I miss having them locally. We had Western Auto, Whites Auto, Gibson's, Montgomery Wards, Sears, a good True Value Hardware, and three dang good feed and seed stores. Now we have one good feed store, the True Value Store, and none of the others above. Between all those stores there was not much a person couldn't get, all in a town of 4000 residents.

45 miles away in Weatherford, there is still a Gibsons, and the last Western Auto I know of in Mineral Wells closed a few years back.

The Gibsons in Vernon had a great fishing dept.

There is a Western Auto in Corrigan.

Otasco and ertley's were the bomb. Bought a 30.06 at the western auto in river Oaks.

you left out Oshmans....are they still around....bought an 870 wingmaster pump and a Remington model 700 243. from them in Houston in early 60"s....that 870 has killed a semi truck load of ducks and geese..bluing is worn off,it rattles when you shake it but that 30 inch barrel,3inch magnum still shoots a tight pattern...

Gibson�s seemed to have the best prices in Lawton when I was young. H&H spinners, 3 for a dollar!
