Where do carp congregate in a lake? Is there any particular area or structure to look for?

10yo Gson now fully addicted to fishing (unfortunately, to the detriment of everything else). Started a physical, with photos, life list back in July. Next up on his "wanna catch" list is carp.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

You don't have to cast far off the bank - chum a spot with canned sweet corn carp will show them selfs by rolling.

You can also try ponds at local parks. A lot of these ponds have carp in them and sometimes you will get a nice surprise and find a pond with really large carp even in a small pond.
