One of my dogs is a 4 year old aussie/heeler mix, been here since a pup, never been afraid of anything, fairly aggressive to strangers, barks at all kinds of stuff, this evening she's milling about by the back fence and swingset acting normal, all of a sudden she tucks tail and runs back to house, she won't go 5' past back porch now, going on 4 hours of this behavior, I've inspected the fence line and find nothing out of the ordinary

Yep. Check her paws for swelling. I�d give a pretty good bet that she stepped on something that bit back like a cow killer or scorpion.

Also could be a pack of coyotes in the area.

We've had a few coyotes in last couple years, but she's a 70# dog that's never been afraid of anything before, no stings or bites, I thought maybe snake but they've encountered snakes before, my other 2 dogs act just fine

The young bobcats are roaming around on their own now instead of hanging out with mama. They are more brave and stupid than the older cats. Maybe one growled at your dog.

This could be a possibility, we have a field behind our house, maybe 100'�2000', a few older pecans, we get the usual urban animals, coons, possums, skunks, occasionall coyote, but I've never seen her act this way

My wife did say ,maybe her chakras need to be aligned, idk what that even means
