They interviewed the young man on KMOO radio and he said he caught it on a Chatterbait. The neat thing is that he said it was a LFT Chatterbait. LFT Lures doesn't manufacture bladed jigs but Mr. Parker primarily sells the Finch Nasty Thumper in his store in Emory. I sure would like to talk to the young man to find out if it's true, just to learn more about the experience and how the bait held up against a beast of a fish like that. Congrats to all of the winners. I took my little boy out this weekend and it was all about him. He made me proud and took home a Little Angler prize for bass each day that we were there.

Question? Who pays taxes on his winnings since he is a minor? I have never won anything like this young man. I am glad for him..

He pays just like you and I would, no difference... He may be able to claim a wind fall and get free from some of it..

The Finch Nasty part was the weight  It's an incredible experience to be out there with the kids. I hope my son stays hooked on fishing. He chose fishing over baseball this weekend. It's events like this one and the Joe Pool kids tourney that keep him excited about the sport.

A 11 year old just weighed in a 10.52 to take over second place on a chaser bait!! I'm here live Congrats Tommy, word is you caught a perfect 2.5 lb fish for 5k.. thank you it was worth $5900

Bob said the numbers were down some because of Harvey. He thought they had almost 2400.
