I guess maybe I could type it slower to explain why I and others will never again buy a ford, but you still won't understand. I'll make it simple for you.......I'll continue to buy products that have proven to be better over ones that suck. There is that simple enough?

By all means, please type slower and explain why you will no longer purchase products that are no longer manufactured.

So ford is no longer manufacturing trucks?

Yeah, that's what I meant. Maybe I should type slower.

So tell us Mr Ford, what is no longer being manufactured? Last time I checked ford is still manufacturing trucks.

It wouldn't matter because nothing you say makes a bit of sense.

Here I'll help you...

ford still manufactures trucks, correct? THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT AN ANSWER

Why would anyone want to buy something that has proven to let them down in the past? THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT AN ANSWER

I'm not sure what all this "type slower" stuff is about. You literally have had days to analyze a few hundred words.

Gimme the displacement over the turbo-supercharged-thingamajiggy that will start making funny noises at around 75 k

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

My BIL has one on the farm. pulls great but the mileage sucks when towing. I got the 5.0. less to go wrong.

Did you know a 15 minute call to Geico could save you 15% or more on car insurance.

Beg to differ. There ain't a stock ecoboost on the planet that can keep up with a 5.7 Tundra. Ain't gonna happen ever.

My brother has a new Eco Boost, we happened to get up front side by side at a light on the way home from work a few months ago on Davis and had us a little drag race. The Eco Boost hung in there pretty good, I took him with my 5.7L but not by as much as I thought I would.

I've been a Ford guy my whole life until this last vehicle purchase, I came out of a 99 F-250 with a 7.3L Power Stroke.... arguably the best engine ever built. I test drove everything except Chevy and GMC barf To me the Tundra was the best value available that had the interior room and performance I wanted. This purchase was more about overall value than brand loyalty for me. As long as its not a Chevy I wont get disowned by my family.

I doubt they will drop the 5.7...I do think different tranny with more gears..it has been long over due for more than a refresh....same platform since 2007

They have to do something. The 5.7's MPG average is too low. And they will get fined by the government. Read awhile back they would be ditching the 5.7 and going with their smaller V-8.

I have an 17 Z-71 6.2 it will scream. And get 22-25mpg hwy. and 16 mpg city. It's getting better mpg than my 14 and 15 5.3 engine trucks got.

It only just turned 5k miles and while taking it in for it's first oil change the window water sprayer crapped out. Other then that and a 8 speed transmission that sometimes doesn't know what speed it wants. It's been a good truck.

I think my next one will have the 6.2. I've got 125k on my 09 crew cab and it's been a fantastic truck. Other than oil changes, tires and preventative maintenance it's never been in the shop.

Run the race with boats on the back and that 5.7 would leave the whining ecoboost in the dust. grin

To me a truck is for towing stuff. I care how it tows. Gas mileage is somewhere down below what rims it has. Give me a straight V8 and a solid drive train and I'm in. I'd do diesel but I'm not a hardcore hauler. Aluminum bodies and turbocharged minitruck engines tweaked out to the edge of capability are just not enticing to me. If I want better gas mileage I'll buy a car.
