I have never had Lowrance but I have never got pics like this or Like Dave puts on his Humminbird threads. I guess I don't know what in the heck I'm doing. I do have the 2nd best Humminbirds in Helix 10 and Helix 9. Like the others said fish spot one. Bring your boat to Fork and schedule a trip with Slade Dougherty. He'll have those Humminbird's tuned in no time, plus give you tips on settings and operation. Might even catch a few fish. Probably will someday when I have time off. I hate work.

Ran out to Lake Hamilton again this evening to run the boat and do a little scouting. I recently moved here and I am trying to learn it quickly. It is definitely different from Big Sam, but will be good as well. As I was idling out of the cove that I launched in, I ran across some structure that caught my interest. I circled it once and decided to drop a jig on it and see what happened. Pulled a dozen out in about 2 hours that averaged between 3/4 to 1 1/2 lb each. I attached a few screen shots to view. I also tried Gamblinman's recommendation on the blue pallet. I think I will head back tomorrow morning when I can stay a little longer..... Looks like I picked a couple of good days for vacation.

A stupid question probably.... What does it mean when side imaging shows about the same thing on left & right?

Looks like a scaffold walkboard or a ramp to drive on a trailer.

A stupid question probably.... What does it mean when side imaging shows about the same thing on left & right? It means you are directly over the structure and the sonar beams are splitting it.

Robinson 0212, Nice catch! That structure is an old duck blind. I've been fishing Ouachita, Hamilton, Greeson for about 10 years now and have several friends who are 30+ year guides out there and have learned LOTS about the Arkansas lakes, so if you ever want to get together out there just PM me. There's also gigantic stripers in Hamilton and the colder it gets the better it is for them, if you're so inclined.

Checked out the hotel for a few crappie, but it was empty. Top photo was from the past weekend, and the bottom is from December. I fully expect them to begin to load up in the next month or so. Just thought I would share the photo.....

I did find another spot that will be checked out further this week. Just scouting and grabbed a screenshot. Probably need to test out filet knife.
