Anyone having troubles with Ultrex shipments. A buddy of mine ordered one in April and it continues to be back ordered.Latest shipment date is now October...6 months after original order. I wonder if his continues to be delayed because he purchased at 25% off and full price orders are being pulled ahead of his. I can't believe Minnkota is that far behind.

Not sure but they seem to be pretty backed up at all outlets. MK hit a home run on this one.

ordered my ultrex from Universal Mania last Friday and is scheduled to be delivered this coming Wed.

the distributors cant keep them in stock they are dribbling them out who knows they may have found a way to keep the prices up on the most sought after trolling motor on the market. some folks are less than honest that say that they have the product hoping they will get them. if this product was sold at 25% off they weren't making any money on it .

Ordered mine this past Tuesday and ups scheduled delivery is Wednesday from mygreenoutdoors on here.

It all depends on what model you are seeking. The 112 models are being sent out 1 and 2 per dealer if they are lucky.
Nation wide back order and slow to come in has been the pattern. Soon we will all have more than we can sell.

He ordered a 112 w/45 inch shaft rather than the 52 so as to fit under his cover and they claim the 45 inch shaft is causing the delay....still 6 months on back order is ridiculous.

Current inventory on the Minn Kota Ultrex @ shut-up-and-fish as of 09/03/2017. Some models continue to be in the Nation Wide Back-Order status with only onezee - twozee being sent out to distributors/dealers. At some point we will all have more than we need. Just very slow in getting there with specific models.

I covered this in another post but I ordered an Ultrex from TW in April also. It was originally slated as a June delivery but repeatedly slipped to October. That was more than I could take so I cancelled the order and went to my local Skeeter Dealer that day and they said they could get one in four days. In fact they received one that very day; they called and I purchased it. So I got my Ultrex on the day I cancelled the order from TW. I don't know what's going on with them. It seems for all their size and heft, they are being taken advantage of by MinnKota. Anyway, I installed the Ultrex and it works well though it certainly has a different sound and feel than my Fortrex.

I had to pay tax (ouch).

I've been impressed with Universal Mania, great company. I wasn't familiar with them a few months ago but made an order and they had great customer service I thought.

I honestly think TW is intentionally screwing my buddy hoping he will cancel because he purchased at 20% off.

I have experienced it firsthand guys. I have "been in line" at 2 different retailers since April and I got the same story from both of them. MK says they are sending them and then MK cant meet the date, so it results in longer back orders. Its not the retailers fault. From what I understand and the phone calls and emails I have sent, the boat manufacturers get first priority from MK because they buy in such volume. What is left, gets sent out to the retailers.

Apparently, the 112 with the 45 inch shaft/no link is the hardest one to acquire. I finally got tired of waiting and took myself off the waiting list. Yesterday, I found a place in Illinois that had one left!! I called the guy up and just like that, my Ultrex will be here next week. They are out there, but its like finding that needle in the haystack.

I seriously doubt that is what TW is trying to do. I have personally and know of tons of guys that have ordered big ticket items through TW on a discount and never a single issue getting them. They are at the mercy of Minn Kota right now like most dealers are.

One way to find out. Order same item at full price and see if shows in stock or on back order. If on back order at full price then more than likely the problem is Minn Kota not shipping to Tackle Warehouse.
