Big difference in private pond dams versus corps dam on dam b at the neches. They still have to release the neches flow. The Angelina joins the neches above dam b. That comes out of Rayburn which they can hold.

I need a crew of lumberjacks basically. And I need a shipment of things going into Rockport. So far I've got two rednecks and a chainsaw driving randomly.

The devastation is so widespread it's hard to concentrate on one region. I'll be headed to Beaumont once it's low enough to get to my dad's place. I'm sure I'll have to convoy in all construction supplies. The contractors are about to buy up everything in Texas available I'm afraid

That is based on their income. If it is over a certain $$$$ amount per year you can get a low interest loan from the Small Business Administion.

For anyone that wants to help, there's lots that you can do without a boat. Many neighborhoods the water has gone down and are now accessible. Come down and buy 20 cheeseburgers and deliver them to the workers. Come and help watch someone's kids while they clean up. Come and deliver fuel for generators. If you're an electrician come and turn power back on. I've been in three houses today where the neighborhood has power but people were scared to turn their main back on. I turned on 2 but the third still had standing water so I told them I'd be back. My wife is 9 months pregnant and has been driving around telling people to throw laundry in the back of her truck with the address written on the bag. She can't do any heavy lifting but she's helping. There's a ton of stuff someone can help with down here that doesn't involve demo or manual labor or a boat.

I'm working with baby momma right now to try and get down there Sunday. For a few days. I'm a working SOB with a ton of tools, trailers, fuel cans. I may reach out to you so you can point me in the right direction. I'll be bringing supplies and.......BEER!

I'm stuck (kinda) at the hospital in Beaumont. All roads out /in are closed. I was one of the last vehicles down US 69 north of Beaumont and drove a 1/2 mile through 1-2' of water. Now sleeping at the hospital and working. Blackhawks and USCG helicopters been landing all day, The hospital has opened their outpatient pavilion to NH and flood refugees. I'll be here until the water goes down enough to go north and the hospital cancel their disaster protocols.
Still raining here quite moderately.
We're running low on beer. Moochers were quite prevalent.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

There is no dam on the neches. Dam B is a resivior right below sam rayburn that is making a record release right now. That's it. The only other thing that is happening is a retention pond has had a major levee breach and they are worried it might fail completely. That's on the west side headed out of Beaumont.
