This [censored] is devastating...i drove down in my truck. We are posted up in a parking lotwaiting for daylight...we need all the boats we can get. Been listening to fellow. In 30 min there were 4 SOS calls involving young children including a woman in labor and a 2 week old. We don't have a boat. But are gonna do all we can to help. If anybody needs some extra bodies give us a call. 7855963335. My brother is a certified fire fighter and I'm a military veteran and we both have some rescue training from coast guard rescue swimmers from when we were younger. Please let us know how we can help. We are parked with 2 guys that came down with a fire rescue boat.

Guys... yall be careful! Lots of reports of people pretending to need rescue then robbing the rescuers. Make sure your packing heat or have someone with you that is.

I want to go down this weekend with my boat, a couple of guys, and an RV full of supplies. But I cannot get ahold of Harris County or Volunteer Houston to find out exactly where to go to be most helpful.
I do have a list of Rally Points. Should I just head to the nearest one?

Get the "zello" app on your phone, tune into channels, cajun navy, texas navy, and VV Friends. VV Friends is helping out with rally point locations, launch sites, and road closures.
