I have read that y'all have been using Dons Port boat ramp. Did they get it fixed? I may have missed that thread on the tff and would like to know. Thanks in advance.

good as new and smooth as silk. The true test will be when lake gets low again and see how far out they poured the concrete.
But nobody is complaining for now.

HEy thanks guy's. I am going to try and get out this week in the afternoon and catch the evening bite. Look for mr=e in a blk/wht baysyealth with a t-top. I'll be the one NOT catching but having a great time.lol

If your fishing experience is anything like what we had Easter Sunday afternoon you will have a hard time NOT catching fish. We were in about 14 feet of water at Key Ranch and the entire flat was covered with fish, mostly SB but a few small to barely legal hybrids mixed in. The water had cooled off to the mid 50's and the bite was light, right on the bottom. We used green and chartruese Burgess slabs, just tipping it off the bottom like a crappie jig. My boys got so bored catching fish they started using hand lines and caught just as many. The birds showed us the spot but the surface action never really developed. We were there at 1 PM and back at the cabin for the fish fry at 3:30.

Funny we were a mile away the temp was 62 but the bite was on the top!

Don't think Don's is no longer for sale, have met the new owner as recent as today, has great plans for that place. Hope he follows through and keeps it. Owning a marina is a tough proposition, better him than me.
