I know if you go to the watching party they are hosting at UNT, they have free glasses for anyone attending.

I've also heard of people that found them at local 7-11's, at least as of a day or two ago.

Does anyone actually know what the minimum level of light filtration should be to safely view?

From what I read, approved eclipse glasses filter 99% of light rays.

By 13 and up, I was talking about the welding glasses thing. Shade 13 and up...just to clarify that.

I got some at 7-11 on Monday. I've heard Kroger and Lowes have them too.

according to NASA website, welding lens of shade 12 and higher & your good, less than 12 and you go blind

a;so this is cool, its gonna get kinda dark here in east Texas if this animation is correct
