Depends on what you are looking to catch Anything that bites, I'm set up for largemouth but also enjoy catfish. No carp though.

You can catch perch and some bass at most of the parks in Irving that have ponda. I would check out Jefferson park.

California Crossing spillway on the Elm Fork. Can be good to great for sandies, crappie, hybrid striper, spotted bass, drum, channel, blue and flathead(it is a river after all, so variety rules).

You might want to check out some of the lakes, ponds, and canals around the Las Colinas area. Get an overview on Google earth. Quite a few folks in this section fish them. Also the pond at North Lake Jr. College.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโs a storybook, man.โ

Don't the Las Colinas security patrol still run people off the canals and ponds?
This summer they told me the county water district ordered them to step up patrols of the area.

It depends on what canals you fish. The ponds off of Rochelle and Northgate are posted with no fishing signs now. A good amount of the canals by the Elm Fork are not posted and fishable. Lake Carolyn is posted and they will run you off during the day. I see a lot of new development on O`connor across from Williams Square. Not sure how much security will be monitoring the area now. Most other ponds in Irving are either private (golf courses) or parks.
