So I'm about to do a complete overhaul on my entire rod arsenal and narrowed down these 2 rod companies. I love to hear y'all feed back on both companies. So by saying this I want your guys true unbiased opinions on these 2 companies rods, and why I should go with one or the other. Thanks guys

I personally have two of each and really like the Dobyns Champion rods a lot for both casting distance and sensitivity.

I recently went through a complete overhaul myself "due to mine getting stolen but either way". I had previously had all Falcon Cara Rods and was happy with them but wondered if there was something that I may like better. I made the switch to Dobyns Rods and have been very happy with them. I like that so many of the rods are very versatile and the few baits I fish all the time have bait specific rods. They are light and well balanced and very sensitive. I personally like the way they handle the fish better than I did the previous brand I used. I honestly dont see myself using any other rod from now on. I dont think you can wrong with the Dobyns

I have Dobyns and Kistler both, they are both quality rods. If I could only opt for one it would be Dobyns.

Thanks for the input guys so far, much appreciated. I was also leaning towards the dobyns champion and extreme's for the rod replacement.

Dobyn's Fury are really nice rods for the price.

Kistler, hands down. I've owned both and there's no comparison if you ask me. Kistler's sensitivity and lightweight feel is way better than Dobyns.

+1 for Dobyns... that being said, I don't think you can wrong with either.
I switched to Dobyns and have a mix of mostly Champions, a few Fury's and a couple Savvy's. As the Fury's and Savvy's break, I'll probably replace them with Champions. I'm not pursuing Extremes... their price point is a little too extreme for me! At the time I chose to standardize on Dobyns, I already had a couple of them in my inventory. Otherwise I might have gone with Kistler... they felt good in the store.

I am a Dobyns guy because of their Cranking rods. I can find no better CB rod than the Dobyns rods. I have several of the 806CB RM, 764 CB RM and the 806 CB rod. Nothing wrong with thrir other rods neither. I LOVE the Champion 735 and 736. Getting ready to order a couple more of each I have USED Kistler, but felt that the Doobyns is a better for for me. Nothing bad to say about Kistler, but love the Dobyns better. As mentioned, VERY versatile rods with Dobyns. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

You won't go wrong with Dobyns. I have a couple of Kistler heliums and a couple of Dobyns. The heliums are awesome for jerkbaits and top waters, but the Dobyns are awesome. I have a fury, couple of champions and an extreme. You definitely get what you pay for from Dobyns, the extreme lets you feel every little tick and hooks up unbelievably. The warranty is the deal for me. You pay for Kistler, just register the Dobyns and it's lifetime no questions asked....

Ive always used Dobyns Champions and they are great, but not better than a kistler Helium 3. My friend uses kistler only and let me use his Helium 3 for a day side by side my Champion both medium action and the sensitivity feels like the same, but the kistler is way more crisp. Also the helium is lighter.

I had a couple of Dobyns and they dont compare to the Kistler. I stay with the Z Bone for contact baits and KLX for everything else. Im not sure if its overall weight or just the rod balance, but the Kistler feels lighter. Price is decent as well, especially if you catch the Kistlers on sale.
