I would suggest managing a private fishery for a few months for free, giving them the choice to either fire or hire you when your time is up. Once they see how good your work is, they'll be more likely to hire you on at full salary with benefits. Or if it doesn't work out, no big deal, you can always try it again with another place. This is a proven method to find employment in the OT.
