Anyone go to Cooper yesterday?

Fished for awhile. Managed 50 or so but it was slower then it has been.

That front that come thru probably slowed them down.

They were on the move Saturday. We would catch a few then have to hunt them down again. On Fridays trip we had a three man limit in two hours and realeased no telling how many more.

I was out on my kayak yesterday afternoon from 3-8. First 2 spots I tried didn't produce a single bite until I head to horseshoe hump. Sand bass were STACKED cruising between the two 10-12ft hump. Every time I drift over the hump I would pick up 1-2 sandbass.

Tried the last spot for 30 mins(0.5 mile from Tira) and marked a huge school of hybrids at the base of the hump but only managed to hook one on a slab but came off while I was trying to net the fish. Did saw and heard some hybrids busting shads while I was at the last spot.

Think I will launch at sulphur ramp next time and focus on that area especially the flats in the afternoon.

Fished from 5 till 830 yesterday evening caught 75 sandbass and handful of short hybrids

I got up this morning ready to go fishing. Checked the weather and there were storms all over Cooper Lake. The forecast is predicting 80%-90% chance of rain for the next 3 days.

Mother Nature strikes again! The last couple of days the rain kept shifting to the next day so I thought maybe it was going to continue to keep shifting. Requested a day off and bam here comes the rain. Rain or shine it doesn't stop the catching

I went to cooper once and the cops had a speed trap right as you come up on the dam, 50 to 30 couldnt see the 30 sign till you came up on the dam.By then it was too late the cop was outside his car stopping everyone that was over 30. I called the county later that week and they made me make the check out to the judge of that county,I have never been back nor will i ever support a small town that sets up speed traps like that. Its been years ago im sure thing have changed, kinda reminds me of Pantago by lake arlington, same thing. Those towns i avoid.

Same thing going to Texoma get off 35 onto 82 east speed traps all the way to Sherman.Locals and DPS.

Thanks for the speed trap at Cooper. Don't let a crooked scam ruin a great day of fishing. I am wanting to go to Cooper.
