Exactly what I've heard too Champion Fish. I'll go out there this weekend if I get a chance. Finishing up the fence this Friday.

I went fishing Saterday morning on the lake by 6:45. Headed to holiday hump, then saw the big boat show southwest of holiday hump. I normal stay away from boat shows but my Curiosity won out. There was at least 4 guides, 15 center consoles, 4 bass boats 1 pontoon and 1 ski boat all together. I trolled in with trolling motor. Stayed 30 minutes only saw 1 fish cough and it was not me lol. Marked a lot of fish but no takers. Make the loop around the lake checking usual spots marked a lot but few takers. About 2:00 it started to get hot so I dug out the hellpets ( first time in a long time) boated 3 nice sand bass. Then 3 men pulled up and started jigging bam 10 fish in boat. Put my hellpets back up starts jigging and only manged 1 sand bass. By now it was almost 3:00 and time to go home.
If any on knows what size and Color slabs I need to try next time.
Long story not a lot of info lol
Life is good fish

On Tawakoni, the Chartreuse and White slabs have always done well for me. I prefer a 2 ounce slab, seems to stay fairly stationary in the water column so when fish head for it the water movement doesn't push it away as much as lighter baits.

I've had decent luck throwing big slabs at them. When they're not on top but we're marking under boat or on side imaging we would drop slabs to bottom and burn it up. Sometimes get bit on drop sometimes on burn.

Fished Friday through Sunday. Pulled up mid-day on Friday, found a school of stripers in 32 feet of water and dropped a spoon. Immediately caught an 8lb striper. As the day progressed, the fishing got worse. Landed a few nice hybrids and stripers this weekend, but the full moon was playing havoc on the day bite I believe. I stayed passed sunset on Saturday and when the full moon came up, I immediately caught 2 nice stripers. On Sunday, I did not see any of the guides catching fish, in fact, most of them switched to catfish mid-morning. We found the white bass on Sunday though, but the stripers never got going on us.

We have a youngster in from Colorado that hasn't never felt the pull of a Texas hybrid. Going out early am tomorrow don't plan on leaving until we get him hooked up.

My brother and I will be fishing Tawk for the 1st time this weekend. Can someone please let me know where "Holiday Humps" is located? i have researched and found most all other locations that we will be trying. I know it was mentioned in a thread about a year or so ago but i can't seem to find it. Hope to finally get a chance to experience the great fishing on Tawk that i read about on here.
