Sometimes you walk out in the back yard and forget. And seriously, it's my friggin back yard. It shouldn't be that big of a deal for me to get the hose out and water my plants. It's a suburban back yard. I shouldn't be up to my armpits in chiggers out there. Especially when I treated the back yard a month ago.

Just because you treated doesn't mean your neighbors did. The recent rain gives them opportunity to spread. #notrespectingthepropertyline

Quit killing all the fire ants and they will take care of the chiggers. I leave 1-2 ant mounds stick around, they take care of ticks, chiggers, and fleas for me.

I'll deal with the damn chiggers. I've been bitten by fire ants in the shower. I swear they seek me out. I'm apparently super sweet and tasty. "Oooh! What's that delicious scent! I smell the redhead!"

All fire ants must die a horrible painful screamy melty death.

Chiggers in the yard, ants in the shower, sounds like to need to contact a pest control company.

Yep, next thing will be crabs, and not in the kitchen

bump

I haven't had near as many chiggers and critters since I started free ranging my chickens in the back yard.

I've always wondered what they eat before jumping on me and start suckin'.

After reading all this I now have a itch in my crotchular area.
