 Hot foot and a digital throttle system

Has anyone installed a hot foot on a boat that has a digital throttle system? Do you just leave that throttle system hooked up and run a new cable from the hot foot to the throttle on the motor?
I have a 2005 nitro 929 with a Verado 225 and a digital throttle system.

no you just need hot foot set up for that and it plugs in under dash
