Taking my neighbor and his 5 yo son fishing on Lewisville tomorrow. Does anyone have a good source for minnows in the Lantana/Pilot Point/HV/Argyle metro area? I really want to see this kiddo hook a crappie. Bonus if they're open at 0600 on Saturdays.

The Valero on 407 and 35 and I think they are open early.

Also, there is a place (Shaq's?) on 35 Frontage road between Lake Dallas and Swisher that has them but they are a pain to get there because of all the construction.

I've got a cast net you can borrow if you want to drive through Carrollton.

Haha, thanks. I have one but have never thrown it. And haven't thrown one in decades. If I see shad around the dock when we get there I might give it a throw. Or if I see a bait ball on the scope.

Live bait outlet on Mill St. or big jacks at 35E and 407, also before you get on the GV Dam there is a bait store on the West side.

Thanks Lipjerk and BlueNitro. I was telling me wife I thought I'd seen a place advertising live bait really close to HV/Bartonville. I thought maybe the feed store at 407 and 1830.

Someone needs to open a full service bait shop next to Tman's place.

Since you are putting in at Pilot Point, your best bet may be to buy them at the fishing barge once you get on the water.
